The University of North Dakota offers many benefits to their students. One of these benefits is access to the Wellness Center. The Wellness Center, located at 801 Princeton Street, is a short walk from most places on campus and offers many opportunities for students to enhance their own personal health and wellness throughout each semester they spend attending classes at UND.
Every semester there are multiple group exercise classes offered at various different times throughout the week. There is a set schedule that changes every few weeks, so if there is a class that you wish to attend that does not fit in your schedule now, there may be another opportunity later on. From cycling, zumba, pilates, and yoga there is a good chance that you can find an exciting class to take on your own or with friends.
If group exercise is not your thing, there are plenty of other ways to utilize the Wellness Center. If you are interested in a customized fitness routine, they offer personal training for an additional cost. However, if you want to explore your own personal fitness journey alone, you can utilize the Wellness Center’s equipment and amenities for free as long as you are currently enrolled at UND.
Along with opportunities for personal fitness growth and group fitness, the Wellness Center also offers different recreational sports throughout the year. This includes sand volleyball, cornhole, curling, hockey, and so much more. Registering to join one of these recreational sports can be an exciting way to explore your personal fitness journey through friendly competition with like-minded individuals.
Not only does the Wellness Center offer various fitness opportunities, but they also provide students with the opportunity to learn about fitness and health through different programs. This includes CPR, First Aid, health promotion, nutrition, and so much more. Along with this, they also have a lot of opportunities for student employment available for students looking for an on-campus job.
UND’s Wellness Center fosters a safe and comfortable environment for all students to utilize equipment, programs, and classes. They promote positive health and well-being among all students at UND and encourage everyone to take the opportunity to use this space to better themselves during their academic career.
