Dakota Student

‎The Dakota Student is the student-run newspaper publication of the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The newspaper was first published in 1888, but went through several short-lived name changes. In 1928, it was again called The Dakota Student and published twice-weekly up until 2018. The publication is currently weekly. The Dakota Student is independent from UND, but it still receives partial funding from student fees.

The Dakota Student is freely available to students who may access the paper digitally. The newspaper employs approximately 25 students as editors, writers, columnists, and photographers. Its office is located in the Memorial Union.
