The Feast of Nations, held annually on UND’s campus, is a widespread celebration of life, culture, and breathtaking performances. Feast of Nations is presented by UND and the International Organization here on campus. This year, Feast of Nations is held on Saturday, Mar. 22 at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks. The Red Carpet Ceremony will begin at 5:00 p.m., and the rest of the program will begin at 6:00 p.m. Feast of Nations allows students and other guests to experience elements of many cultures that they may not have ever seen before, allowing visitors to expand their exposure and understanding of their peers. The event encourages students of UND, as well as the Greater Grand Forks community to learn more about diversity and culture.
UND’s first ever Feast of Nations was held in 1961 and started as a small group of people showcasing their culture through food. Since then, Feast of Nations has grown into an event that is much larger. Tickets for the 2025 Feast of Nations are already sold out, as there is a high demand for the event.
Historically, Feast of Nations has consisted of sharing of cultures through song, dance, music, and art. For the 2024 Feast of Nations, the show ran over two hours long, and each performance took a few minutes to showcase their pieces. At one point, UND President Andy Armacost was a part of a dance routine.
Feast of Nations is unlike any other event in Grand Forks. It allows members of the audience to experience many different cultures that they may not be exposed to otherwise. This is incredibly important, now more than ever, to welcome and embrace other diverse cultures.
Though tickets for the 2025 show are sold out, you may be able to watch Feast of Nations on YouTube following the event.
