Throughout the duration of the summer, the greater Grand Forks area has been able to partake in the Town Square Farmer’s Market. The Town Square Farmer’s Market hosts a variety of vendors annually, with products spanning from local produce to handmade art, fragrant soaps to fresh baked bagels. Now, as fall approaches, cooler temperatures and the end of harvest marks the end of the annual farmer’s market. The last day to attend the Town Square Farmer’s Market is September 28th, 2024. Attending the farmers market is an excellent way to support local vendors and purchase some of the best produce that Grand Forks has to offer. If you are not in search of produce, the farmers market also offers handmade arts and crafts, as well as desserts and baked goods. The farmers market will not return until next summer, beginning June 16, 2025. To experience some of the best the farmer’s market has to offer, it is important to attend in the coming weeks prior to the end of the season.
In addition to produce, baked goods and other product, the Town Square Farmer’s Market also includes fresh coffee from many local shops. Urban Stampede, Archives Coffee House, and the Ember are among some of the vendors that provide fresh coffee to those who visit. Coffee is an excellent way to begin the farmers market, and it also generates business for local shops. After grabbing a coffee, you can get some brunch at one of the many food trucks parked on 3rd St. Outside of Town Square. Once you enter Town Square, there are multiple rows with all varieties of product. Many vendors are from the greater Grand Forks area, all traveling to Town Square to reach eager customers. For many farmers and artists, this is an exceptional way to promote their brand. In addition to a variety of art and delicious food, the Town Square Farmer’s Market also has musicians, dancers, and vocalists that occupy the stage, nestled toward the back of Town Square. This provides an opportunity for the community to be exposed to new music and promotes a creative flow throughout the entire market.
Perhaps one of the most popular vendors is Maggie’s Catering and Bakery. Their booth occupies the eastern most corner of the Town Square Farmer’s Market, and consistently draws in many customers. Their baked goods range from cookies and bars to pies and doughnuts, and each bite is made with love.
Whether you are looking for a break from school or regular weekend plans, the Grand Forks Town Square Farmer’s Market has something for you. It is important to go check out the Farmer’s Market prior to its closing for the season on September 28, 2024.
