Fall is officially upon us here at the University of North Dakota, and with that comes many things. Perhaps one of the most exciting ones is that Nelson’s Pumpkin Patch is back for the season and eager to host all kinds of visitors. Going for an outing to the pumpkin patch with friends or family can be a wonderful way to enjoy the fall weather before winter sets in here in North Dakota.
UND’s Student Involvement understands that the pumpkin patch can be a great opportunity for students to take a break from their studies and go do something they may only be able to do once a year. It is because of this that they are giving all UND students an opportunity to pick their own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. To do this, they are offering vouchers that can be picked up from the Student Involvement Office in the Memorial Union in Suite 144. These vouchers will be available starting Monday, October 7 and last until Friday, October 18 for everyone with a valid UND student ID while supplies last.
Once you acquire your voucher, you will be able to use it anytime between October 7 and October 20 during Nelson’s Pumpkin Patch hours. Not only can you pick out your own pumpkin while you are there, but you can also take advantage of their other attractions. These include a tractor hayride, corn mazes, trails, fall themed games, food and drinks, sunflower fields, and a haunted house.
This opportunity given to students by Student Involvement is one of many that they offer each semester, so if you are interested in taking advantage of this opportunity and others throughout the year, you should stay up to date with what they are offering. Taking advantage of these offers can provide easy, inexpensive ways to do exciting things in the community and to take a break from everyday stressors. So, start by taking advantage of this one, gather some friends and go experience a traditional fall activity.
