On March 12, 2024, Northern Air hosted a private event displaying its diverse recreational activities. Established 11 years ago by Bryan Lee, Northern Air was envisioned as a community space where families could enjoy quality time together. Over the years, it has evolved into a multi-activity center, offering everything from trampolines to the latest in virtual reality gaming.
The facility’s offerings include axe throwing, laser tag, and a newly installed arcade featuring a state-of-the-art Hologate VR system. Despite its focus on fun, Northern Air does not compromise on safety. Participants must sign a waiver acknowledging the risks involved, particularly with axe throwing. This process is easily streamlined, allowing guests access to the facilities for an entire year before renewal is needed.
At this event, guests gathered on the second level, which houses a bar and axe-throwing lanes. Although participation in axe throwing required a purchase as it was not in the package, Lee provided demonstrations, shared his expertise, and stressed safety precautions for those who bought them.
Adjacent to this area is the indoor go-kart track, which offers a thrilling experience with programmable speed settings. Speeds are capped for safety on regular nights, but those who qualify with a lap time of under 36.800 seconds can join the Pro Speed Karting league. Despite the $300 entry fee, the league offers cash prizes for top performers.
The event’s itinerary also included time on the trampolines. Guests enjoyed jumping into foam pits, racing across the mats, and engaging in basketball dunks that would be challenging under normal conditions. The dodgeball section was particularly popular, offering high-flying action and teamwork.
Laser tag was next on the agenda. About 12 participants navigated through a maze-like structure in a compact arena, avoiding being cornered by opposing players. The game ended with participants reflecting on the evening’s fun and camaraderie.
One guest remarked, “it does make me feel like a kid again.” This sentiment was shared by all, successfully recapturing the joy and excitement of childhood adventures.
Northern Air’s ability to host private events is an excellent spot for groups seeking unique entertainment. Whether for birthdays, sororities, fraternities, or campus groups, the facility offers various activities that cater to multiple interests and budgets. With package deals, guests can customize their experience to ensure an enjoyable and cost-effective visit.
