In their home openers last Friday, the UND women’s and men’s tennis teams took on Weber State at Choice Health and Fitness Center.

The women’s team won its second dual in a row with a 6-1 victory, but the men were unable to pull through for a win as they lost, 7-0.

Last week’s Big Sky women’s tennis player of the week, Callie Ronkowski, contributed to her winning streak in No. 2 singles as she defeated WSU’s Kristi Elmer in two sets and awarded UND the deciding point to secure its second win this season.

Connor Oberle and Ryan McGuigan were the only doubles winners for UND as they defeated Weber State in No. 2 doubles.

Both men’s and women’s teams will host Idaho State today at 1 p.m. at Choice Health and Fitness.
