The UND Flying Team won first place at the Region Five National Intercollegiate Flying Association’s Safety and Flight Evaluation Conference that took place Oct. 16-19.
In the competition held at the University of Dubuque in Iowa, UND won first place in both grounds and flight events.
“It’s always satisfying to get a win and to justify the hours spent. It’s one step closer to nationals,” co-captain of the team Jack Foley said.
This May, the team will compete at the national competition in Ohio.
