Last Friday, U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp (ND-D) visited UND. During her visit, Heitkamp stopped by the UND School of Law and Aerospace Center.
Heitkamp started her visit by talking to students of the UND School of Law. She talked about the work that she is currently doing as senator and the work that she did while she was the Attorney General of North Dakota. She ended her law school visit by answering any questions the students had.
Heitkamp also visited UND Aerospace Center to learn more about UND’s work with unmanned aircraft.
“I love coming back to UND. This is my alma mater, and I think there’s a lot of things happening. And any chance I get to encourage young people to go into a life of public service and hopefully elected public service I seize those opportunities,” Heitkamp told WDAZ.
Heitkamp is an alumna of UND, and graduated in 1977.
