BLOG: Dale Chihuly Glass and Garden
This past week, I went to Seattle.
It’s a really great city to visit because there is quite a lot of things to do there. There is Seattle Art Museum (SAM), SAM Olympic Park Museum, Pike Place Public Market, the first Starbucks, sporting venues where the Seahawks and Mariners play, the list goes on and on.
The one place that is the most diverse for things to do is Seattle Center, which plays home to the Space Needle, Children’s Museum, Pacific Science Center, and many more! My favorite place to visit is the Dale Chihuly Glass & Garden exhibit.
Dale Chihuly is a world-famous glassblower; you have probably seen his work and not realized it.
His most recognizable pieces, or rather, his most widely viewed pieces, are inside of the main lobby at Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and the Victoria & Albert’s Museum in London, England.
If you were to visit the exhibit in Seattle, however, you would get exposed to about 100 individual pieces that are indoors as well as outdoors. All of them are lit from within to show off the exquisite range of colors that go into every piece.
