As you may have heard if you have the patience to tolerate it, the buzz on 12-time Grammy Winning queen of the music industry, Taylor Swift, and two-time Superbowl Champion and Tight End for the Kansas City Chiefs, Travis Kelce, has become the only thing anyone seems to be talking about. Long story short, what seems like just overnight, the world became obsessed with these two celebrities and has garnered them the new romantics in our hearts. Call it what you want, but don’t blame me for giving you the rundown on this invisible string of events.
July 8th – Travis attends the Era’s Tour in Kansas City
Taylor is performing in her coveted Era’s Tour for the second night at Arrowhead stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. On this night, Travis Kelce himself attended the concert in the VIP tent that Taylor sets aside for friends, family, or celebrities. As Travis himself said in an episode of New Heights, a podcast he hosts with his brother Jason, “If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are a bunch of friendship bracelets.” Travis himself made a friendship bracelet for Taylor, which even had his phone number in it.
Now, if you’re an innocent and aren’t in the know about what goes on at Taylor Swift concerts, you’re in for a treat. In addition to her two opening acts, Taylor Swift enters the temporary stage for the weekend at 8:00 pm. 13 costume changes and 44 songs later, she exits the stage at 11:15 pm. She isn’t known to talk to anyone before or after her show, swifties point out that this is to save her voice so she can perform the way that she does.
July 26th – Travis discusses his Era’s tour experience
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows,” Travis spoke in an episode of his podcast opposite his brother, Jason. “Because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs she sings.” He continues to explain that he would have liked to meet her and give her the bracelet he made her, “I was a little butt-hurt.” Us too, Travis. Us too.
September 20th – Jason gives opinion on his brother’s “relationship”?
In this interim time, it seems as though everything has changed. The world at this point is convinced that #Travlor is endgame, and not a single news outlet can refrain from pointing it out. Travis, as well as his fellow teammates, and even his brother, Jason, are continuously approached amid the rumors. This continued all throughout August.
Amid a sports radio interview on DeCamara & Richie, Jason is asked a question regarding Travis and his secretive love story. “It’s hard to answer because I don’t really know a lot about Travis’s love life,” he mentioned. Then, like a false god, stated, “Having said that, man, I think they’re doing great and I think it’s all 100% true, and I hope this thing goes a mile — no, I’m joking, I don’t know what’s happening.” I can see you, Jason.
September 21st – Travis speaks now
The very first night after Jason poked fun at Travis’s budding romance, Travis himself spoke out regarding his endeavors to have Taylor see him “Rock the stage” at Arrowhead. “I told her that I’ve seen her rock the stage at Arrowhead, and she might have to come see me rock the stage at arrowhead,” he said.
September 24th – Taylor attends Chiefs Game
The highlight of this long-lived timeline, the icing on the chai cookies, Taylor’s awaited attendance at the Kansas City Chiefs game at Arrowhead stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Taylor attends the game in style wearing a red Chiefs jacket in the Kelce suite, where she was quickly noticed next to Donna Kelce, Travis’s mom. The two are seen chest-bumping and screaming during Travis’s third quarter touchdown, and it gets even better. After the gorgeous game won by 31 points, Taylor and Travis exit the Chiefs green room hip to hip, where they drive off into the sunset in their quite literally getaway car. The two arrive at a restaurant in Kansas City where the rest of the team and their spouses meet them.
October 1st – Taylor attends second Chiefs game
After the best day that was September 24th, Taylor attends another Chiefs game, her bejeweled A-list crew in tow. Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sophie Turner, Sabrina Carpenter, among many others, attend the game alongside our babe in the Kelce suite.
