Community & Student Involvement Requested on New Strategic Plan

Dominique Menard, News Editor

President Armacost launched UND’s strategic planning committee on February 17th. The University is hoping to develop a plan that reflects aspiration, commitment to excellence, cohesion among campus and community partners. The plan consists of three distinct phases that should be completed by the end of 2022. To read more about the details of each phase, find more information from last week’s Dakota Student article here.

“As the recent Task Force on the Future of Education at UND has outlined, there are many ‘looming challenges’ facing higher education today” Due to this, clear strategic vision and mission needs to be created to meet the educational needs of UND students and community members. Based on this information, the University is seeking input from students and community members to help inform the work of the Strategic Planning Committee.

The university is holding two Town Halls in the upcoming week where members of the community can help plan UND’s future. Town Halls are set to be held Tuesday and Wednesday, March 8th and 9th. The following is information about these town halls.

If you are unable to attend any of the events, fill out the survey to have your voice heard https://und.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3DDtXgYrWax3zAG. Providing information at the Town Halls or on the survey will be used by the Strategic Planning committee as they develop a strategic vision/mission that will better serve UND students and community members.
