Halloween Fun On and Off Campus

This upcoming week, the Grand Forks community has a lot to offer for those who love the spooky season and Halloween. From children to college students to adults, there is definitely an event that is perfect for you to attend.

October 26th at 7:00 p.m. at Up North Pizza in East Grand Forks, there will be a Hocus Pocus trivia night for anyone who can watch the Sanderson sisters on repeat like myself. If you didn’t get enough trivia the night before, Brick and Barley Bar and Restaurant is hosting a Halloween Movie Stills trivia night on October 27th at 8:00 p.m. where the adults can enjoy a beer and win some awesome prizes.

Trunk or treat opportunities for the kids are being hosted by Rydell on October 28th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Charity Lutheran Church on October 31st from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. This is a great event for families to dress up in their costumes and trick or treat in a safe and fun environment.  


For their 18th annual production of the 1970’s comedy horror film, The Rocky Horror Picture Show Live, join Empire Arts Center on October 29th at 8:00 p.m. 

October 30th from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. the YMCA will be throwing a Halloween Party with outdoor carnival games. This event is perfect to celebrate with the whole family, and a perfect event to score some awesome treats. 

Shifting onto the UND campus, the Swing Dance Club is welcoming all to a Halloween Party on October 27th 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Hyslop 209 where admission is free, which all college students adore. There will be games and prizes, a costume contest, and dancing.  


Archives Coffee House on University Avenue across from the Chester Fritz Library is hosting a “Brew Can Do It” Halloween Eve, October 30th, Paint Party from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Take your artwork home by paying the $20 fee at the door, or you can reserve a spot out of the 20 available spots at Eventbrite.
