Groups and Workshops at UND
Qmmunity, Black Voices, Coping with Today and supportive groups.

The University of North Dakota and its students have a variety of groups and workshops to choose from. Some examples of these are support groups are Qmmunity and Black Voices. Qmmunity is a weekly discussion group for LGBTQIA students to connect, share, and explore personal experiences. We ask that attendees show respect for identity, shared stories, and life experiences as we create a safe space for sharing and learning. This is a partner program with the University Counseling Center and Student Diversity & Inclusion. The meetings are from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesdays until December 9, 2020. Black Voices is a safe space for black students to connect, share and explore personal and global experiences together. UND also offers support groups for students having a hard and stressful time adjusting to college, or even for personal problems. One group at UND is Coping with Today. Coping with Today is a facilitated conversation focused on the intersection of daily stressors, current events and mental and emotional health. Conversations may include sharing challenging experiences, personal strategies for managing stress, inspiration to keep moving, developing coping skills and understanding how current events impact our individual and collective well-being. Meetings for Coping with Today are Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. until Thursday December 17, 2020. The link for the meeting is https://und-hipaa.zoom.us/j/93304964835. Another group on campus is the Managing Stress Workshop Series. The managing Stress Workshop Series helps you practice simple techniques that you can apply to help manage stress and anxiety. You can join any or all their 30-minute virtual workshops. These workshops are
