Fall and Faith

Hey everyone! I hope you’re having a great week. I have to say that I can’t get enough of this weather. I love Fall; particularly the food, the clothes and the weather. The leaves are starting to change and it’s cool and crisp outside. Mother Nature is doing it up right.

Weather aside, I’m going to boast for a bit about the amazing people I’ve met here. Last year I had friends, but they didn’t really understand me. Sure they were nice girls and they knew how to have fun, but our personalities didn’t click. This year is different. The people I have met really know who I am. I can be myself around them, which is something new. They understand me and they relate to me really well. That makes for a happy MarBear. 🙂

Recently I’ve been trying to get back into my faith. I come from a strong Catholic family and I went to a Catholic high school and grade school. But since coming to a public college, my faith has slipped. I’ve started going to Cru, which is a Christian worship gathering on Tuesday nights. I also plan on going to Chi Alpha on Thursday nights, which is somewhat similar to Cru. I’m so glad that I’ve made friends that want to have a stronger faith life, too. It makes for much stronger friendships. I’m happy that I can be the person I want to be around them.

Anyways, my advice for all of you is to just be yourselves. I’ve honestly found it to be such a great thing and an enlightening experience. I’m going to throw something sentimental out here and tell you to chase your dreams. Be who you want and treat others how you want to be treated. Your life is yours and its what you make of it. <3
