New ticket plans

BIG GAME: Basketball fans given new options to purchase tickets for home.

North Dakota basketball fans will see recent changes in the way they can purchase tickets.

Wednesday, the UND athletic department announced “Big Game” ticket plans of four-game series packages for upcoming UND men’s and women’s basketball games.

The men’s ticket package for the four-game series will cost $40 and will include games against: North Dakota State, Sunday, Nov. 24; South Dakota State, Saturday, Dec. 21; Weber State, Saturday, Jan. 11 and Montana, Saturday, Feb. 15th.

Fans may purchase the four-game women’s ticket package for $30 that includes: North Dakota State, Saturday, Dec. 14; Northern Colorado, Saturday, Jan. 4; Montana State, Saturday, Jan. 18 and Idaho State, Saturday, Feb. 8.

The ticket packages provides an incentive for fans to attend fewer, but bigger games as an alternative to season tickets.

“While full season tickets are still the best value to watch North Dakota basketball, we are excited to offer our fans an additional ticketing option, especially for those who have to drive a little ways to get here,” UND Athletic Director Brian Faison said in a UND press release. “With all four games in these plans being played on a Saturday, it gives our out of town fans as well as fans who cannot make all our games a flexible ticket package that can save them money versus buying single-game tickets. This plan also allows people the chance games prior to single-game tickets going on sale in November.

“Plus, the atmosphere for the NDSU games should be the best we’ve had here at UND during the Division I era and tickets will be hard to come by with both games being played in the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center this season. Between season tickets and the ‘Big Game’ plans, we feel like we have some great options for fans to guarantee their seats ahead of time and not have to worry about missing out on the NDSU and some key Big Sky games.”

Single game ticket prices for UND men’s and women’s basketball games against NDSU have also been set. Fans may attend the men’s game against NDSU on Nov. 24 at an adult ticket price of $25 or $20 per youth. For the women’s game against NDSU on Dec. 14, ticket prices are set at $20 per adult and $15 per youth.

Single game tickets will go on sale Nov. 1.

“Big Game” plans will be available for purchase online at UNDsports.com, in person at the Ralph Engelstad Arena Box Office or by calling 701-777-4582.
